Finished Product

What do you think?! I just made it last night! I made the handbag version of it also but it was way too small. I was kind of mad I wasted so much time and fabric on it. Oh well, I think this one turned out pretty cute!

i got the fabric online at reprodepot.com and then realized that gardner village also sold the same patterns and fabrics too! So i got some there also. I was a little pissed when i found out they sold them there too though bc i had just spend like $16 on shipping from the website.

I had no idea you were such the seamstress! It's so cute, and it looks exactly like the picture in your "want list". Nice work!!

was the bag hard to make? i have the weekender bag pattern but haven't felt ambitious enough to start it yet. it's pretty complicated.

Jill said...

Chaffee Fam, I think pattern instructions always make it sound alot more difficult than it really is. I read through the pattern for this bag and was like, um what the crap? And then I just started taking it step by step and realized it was not that hard at all. Just go for it, I'm sure you will do great.

ps. the weekender bag is really cute too, I was very tempted to get that also. Let me know how it goes.

Wow... you married the right man. Has TFB shown you his ski jacket?

Jill said...

Marc, He hasnt! Do tell.

Marc said...

Let's just say once upon a time TFB was a "Sport Sower"... but if he hasn't come clean about this, then perhaps it's not my place to say anything. He might want what happened between him and Mrs. Gillette to stay between him and Mrs. Gillette.

I think it is fabulous!!! Why didn't I keep taking sewing lessons with you and Natalie when we were in 6th grade?!! Man O' Man if I could go back in time!! Fabulous! Just Fabulous!

Marc, Jill has SMS, which is very similar to PMS.... SMS is Selective Memory Syndrome.

She typically decides which things she wants to remember, i.e. things I say that are mean, promises I don't keep, and to hog the entire bed every night. She also decides which things to forget, most things I tell her, nice things I say and do, to turn off the oven, all other men she's ever known.

Hope that helps clear things up.

Ahhhhhh... Everything is falling into place now.

She's not pregnant perchance is she?
