We are going to DC on the 27th! Well my husband is going there for work ahead of time, and then I will be flying out there to meet him for a fun filled week! I am soooooo excited! We will be staying with some friends who live out there and we are very excited to see them and the sites. I am also particularly excited because we will be there over the 4th of July!
I have not been to DC in a while and do not know all the hot spots. If you have any suggestions on sites that we should see (other than the obvious White House, Monuments and Memorials etc), or good restaurants to eat at, or any fun activities, I would love to hear them.

Yes, Jill is very excited to visit DC, in her excitement she forgot to mention that we would love suggestions of FREE things we can do in DC, and that we are not at all interested in shopping....because Jill hates shopping.

How fun! Are you staying with the Bohn's? I am sure they will be able to show you all the great things to see in DC. (probably not all...there is so much to do there). And don't worry TFB, almost everything to do in DC is free. It is such a great place. How fun for you!

I would suggest going to the Holocaust Museum like 4 times in one day. Just let it really sink in. You won't be super depressed afterward at all.

Going places is so over rated, it is way cooler to never take vacations, and spend your whole life never being east of Ohio. You guys don't know what you are missing.
